Mirage on the Polish Sand Dunes

The magic of the film world is to pretend to be anywhere we are not. This last week I was shooting in Poland, a hair commercial on the dunes.
For sure a trip to the desert would have been more exciting than the 0 degree frosty temperature of Warsaw. The compensation being: we were snung and warm in a big studio with controlled light and more importantly controlled wind. This made my job on hair perfection much easier. A lot to be said for set decorators.
Next week its a film in Chili, but on real rooftop locations overlooking Santiago with helicopters involved! That's going to be challenging.
